As all of you know Cavalier Rescue has been near and dear to my heart. Everything I have done I believe is in the best interest of the Cavalier.
Due to circumstances beyond my control I will no longer be involved with the Cavalier Rescue Trust. They still have dogs that need homes, so although I will no longer be involved, please be supportive of their efforts.
I will be starting my own Cavalier Rescue and will welcome any and all of you that would like to participate.
Here is the unedited email that I received that forced me to make this decision.
Liz,
I looked at your Blog. It’s nice that you want to help. However, we do things very quietly and measured in rescue. Please remove any information about the rescue from your website. In the future, you will need our written approval to mention anything about any ACKCS Rescue efforts.
Thanks for understanding.
Regards,
Renee

Liz,
I am dismayed by ACKCSC Rescue actions. How else do they expect to get the information out to the public? They certainly don't do it themselves. No public announcements, no calling attention to the plight of abused Cavaliers by alerting the media, and no call for assistance from other breed clubs. "Quiet and measured" equals silent and unresponsive to a true crisis in a time when all helping hands should be welcomed and encouraged.
You have my thanks for what you have done in the past, and my support for all you do in the future for our beloved Cavalliers.

That's very unusual request from a rescue center that you are there to help and support yet they are bearing you to be part of them. Whatever the reasons behind it, the most important is your sincerity over Cavalier rescue.
