After many years of estrangement my mom and I are now friends. Best Friends and it feels really great to be able to say that.
2008-2009 were really tough for me personally. My mom who is an artist and hates technology came through for me. It started with phone calls, letters, artwork, and finally she got a computer so that we could communicate on a daily basis. I cannot thank her enough for all that she has done.
In September for my birthday I went to visit my mom at her home. I was thrilled and so was she. I was introduced to my little sister Lola who is my mom's constant companion. My mom graciously shared her home, garden, food, artwork, friends and best of all the fairy princess bedroom with me.
I am amazed at what she has accomplished as a person and as an artist.
Here is one of her many glass gardens scattered on her property. Her home "Free At Last Farm" is on several garden tours and has been written about in the newspaper. While I was there people would just show up and ask if they could tour the garden.
Ahhh Miss Saccahrin, how I love this girl! My mom did this piece after a not so nice experience with a local lawyer.
More from the garden where birdhouses abound!
